Dynamic Health is now a designated location for weekly deliveries which will help you, our clients, to execute a nutritious, stress-free daily diet each week. Just place your order on their website and come pick up your order here at the clinic. Read on to get to know more about Local Grown Harvest and their mission. Who is Local Grown Harvest? As mentioned above, Local Grown Harvest is a local, family farmer’s market located in Milan, MI. The farm is ran by Bob and Kirsten Heath and their family, who truly believe in the significance of optimal nutrition and health. Their mission is to grow fresh, chemical free, non-GMO produce, pastured chicken and farm-fresh eggs in order to provide optimal nutrition to their community. Local Grown Harvest does not use any variety of pesticide or herbicide on their produce and they raise pastured chickens that are able to move around and forage outdoors naturally to offer farm-fresh eggs and delicious, nutrient-rich meat. While working diligently to expand, they currently service Milan, Saline, and Ann Arbor. Furthermore, Bob and Kirsten are incredibly knowledgeable about the importance of farming without chemicals and the benefits of nutrient dense food. Unfortunately, it is not common knowledge these days to research and know exactly what we are putting in our bodies. However, people like us and like Bob & Kirsten want that to come to an end. Pesticides, herbicides, GMO, etc. not only put stress on our bodies, and cause an array of illnesses, but will certainly feed various diseases and even cancers. Providing our bodies with nutrient-rich, healthy food can prevent those maladies and disorders before they initiate or even better, combat an existing disease. Check out these informational sections of their website to learn more on why local, better-than-organic, chemical-free food is so important-- Local Grown Harvest invites their customers and curious community members to take a tour of the farm so they can get to know them and see exactly how they operate the farm and green house. You can touch, smell, and taste their heirloom veggies and learn how they are sustainably grown all year long. This is an amazing advantage of buying local! When you know and trust your farmer, it is reassuring to know that they are growing it right, with the highest possible nutritional value and their growing it for you and your family. What Do They Offer? Local Grown Harvest is quite a unique farmer’s market for many reasons, like their online ordering option, but they are also able to provide produce all year round! Even in the middle of our frigid Michigan winters, you will be able to place orders for fresh produce thanks to their remarkable Aquaponics system. Essentially, their aquaponics method uses organic fish waste, made by organically fed koi fish, to fertilize plants and the water they swim in to hydrate them. This maintainable system results in plentiful amounts of fresh, nutritious plants and produce. Check out their greenhouse tour video and learn more about aquaponics HERE. Some of the delicious selections they offer: (BONUS: click on each underlined food item below to read up on their benefits)
Can’t decide? Give the “First-Timer’s Bag” a try. It will include a variety of produce that is available for the week. This is a great starting point for your first order. Bob and Kirsten also include recipes and a newsletter with each order. They like to include updates on the farm, health tips, events, etc. The recipes are easy to follow, quick and delicious. Other heirloom vegetables & fruits available at different times of the year: Beans, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, herbs (dill, Genovese Basil, Italian Parsley, sage, thyme, peppermint and borage), kale, melons (cantaloupe, golden midget, honeydew and watermelon) onions, parsnips, sugar snap and snow peas, peppers (green, red, yellow, orange and jalapeño), potatoes (these are not heirloom, as they are not available in heirloom varieties anywhere), radishes, rutabaga, spinach, summer & winter squash, sweet potatoes, tomatillo, tomatoes, turnips, ground cherries, mustard greens and eggplant. All of us here at the clinic can honestly say that they are genuine, caring and passionate people that openly care about the health of their community, friends and family. Check out the Bach Flower Remedy Questionnaire here ! We suggest that you print off this PDF, read each indication and check off each one that pertains to you. Seroyal Homeopathic First Aid Kit: We now carry these handy homeopathic first aid kits, by Seroyal, suitable for any size family household, classrooms and even dorm rooms. You never know when an emergency will happen, so why not be prepared? Better yet, be prepared naturally! What exactly is homeopathy? Classical Homeopathy is based on the fundamental principles including the “Law of Similars” defined by Samuel Hahnemann, MD, in the late 1700s. It is a distinctive method of medicine that uses minute amounts of pharmaceutically arranged materials from plants, animals and minerals. Dr. Hahnemann found that when a toxic element is diluted to a minuscule level, its toxic characteristics are antidoted, leaving only the healing qualities in the remedy. Read more about Classical Homeopathy here. The Seroyal Family First Aid Kit comes complete with 29 individual bottles with 140 granules in each as well as a 1.4 oz tube of calendula cream. A few great remedies to point out: Ledum- helps promote healing of most insect stings, Also used for accidents from punctures and animal bites. Although Ledum is not a substitute for professional care if the injury is severe, utilizing this remedy at the onset of the wound will enhance the body's ability to begin healing, reduce inflammation and lessen the chance of infection. Calendula cream- Helps promote healing of cuts, scrapes, chafing, minor burns and sunburn. Greens Powders: We have carefully selected 2 new greens powders to implement into the clinic. They are both excellent sources of greens blends, vegetables, fruit and more. Plus, they both taste great! We are excited to have the AlfaSight 9000™ in the clinic to offer our clients another non-invasive instrument that identifies a wide range of physiological dysfunctions by analyzing skin temperature changes over time. Not only is it FDA approved, the AlfaSight 9000™ serves as adjunct technology to image testing devices like mammography, MRI and Ultrasound. IRT is a functional test of organs and can dramatically improve the accuracy of routine testing for a wide range of impaired health conditions. An infrared sensor measures skin temperature at 119 points on the body before and after exposure to room temperature. Organs will respond to this cooling stimulus on the skin surface via the Autonomic Nervous System. How well your nervous system is able to influence the skin temperature at each point will reveal information about the health of the underlying organs. Contributing factors to organ health are also captured during the test. This integrative approach helps Dr. Cousino determine the therapies best suited for you, as well as additional tests that may be necessary to confirm findings. This test is without a doubt, an excellent addition to work in conjunction with EAV testing with Dr. Cousino. Dynamic Health is offering $50 off your first Regulation Thermometry screening when you mention this blog post. This is going on now through Wednesday, June 1st, 2016. It is highly recommended to follow up with at least 2 more screenings (after the initial screening) to see improvements and changes within 2 - 2 1/2 months in between. Therefore, we are also offering a package deal for 2 IRT screenings (after your initial screening) for $500 (saves you $80!) PLUS you will receive 20% off your next product purchase. Infrared Sauna When we think spring, we think of new beginnings, de-cluttering and of course, spring cleaning. Spring cleaning should also include cleaning out, or detoxifying our forever home-- our bodies! Detoxification can be used to relieve signs of illness and as a preventative tool to increase overall health, vitality and to help fight against disease. In order for the body to regulate temperature and release toxins, and essentially the best way to detox, our bodies sweat. Sweat carries contamination out of the body through the pores and 2.6 million sweat glands that cover most of the skin. Implementing our infrared sauna into your detox program can be very helpful if you suffer from allergies, anxiety, asthma, arthritis, chronic infections, depression, headaches, heart disease, high cholesterol, low blood sugar, digestive conditions, mental illness and obesity. Also, it is estimated that 1 in 4 Americans suffers from some level of heavy metal poisoning, like mercury, lead, cadmium, and aluminum; and we expose ourselves to chemical pollutants such as pesticides, food additives, drugs and alcohol. Infrared light is part of the sun’s invisible spectrum and has the ability to penetrate human tissue easily, but even after hours of exposure, it will not burn the skin. The far infrared sauna wavelength penetrates 1.5 inches into the body, generally enabling chemicals to come directly out of subcutaneous fat storage sites into sweat. Traditional steam saunas are more likely to spread and cultivate bacteria in the humid air, therefore an infrared sauna creates a more sanitary environment. Other uses for an infrared sauna could be stress reduction, relaxation, pain relief, and lowering blood pressure. Come try it out for yourself this spring! Call our office @ (734) 997-9400 or visit the pricing page to see our Infrared Sauna packages. Thank you so much for visiting our website and our first blog post. Again, please feel free to add a comment down below-- whether it's a question or suggestion for future blog posts, we would love to read your feedback. From the entire staff here at Dynamic Health, we wish you health and happiness this spring season! |
